Good product; wrong description
We almost did not buy this product because the description lists one model of Frigidaire plus two other similar model numbers which will allegedly fit. We called Frigidaire, although our refrigerator is neither of the ones described, and were assured that the filter shown would fit almost any Frigidaire refrigerator. We ordered from Amazon and it did indeed fit although our unit was not of the type or model number listed!

Have you ever gone to your local hardware store to try to purchase one of these? What a hassle. They are on aisle so and so, sorry we are out of that filter, we can order it for you, it should take about three weeks.
Surprise here it is at Amazon.com. Ordered on line and received in three days complete with replacement instructions. Not only that but this company offers a follow up service that will remind you that your next refrigerator filter change is coming up.
Well worth the shipping cost to know that I received the right one, within days, with a follow-up service provided. Great in every way!!!!!
weird smell and taste after installing this filter
I bought this because my last filter needed replacing, received this filter and installation was easy, however the water coming from this filter have a rotten smell to it, like sulfur...and taste was not the same as the previous filter. read up on many forums and even called Frigidaire to inquire about the smell and taste, they said I need to run the water atleast 5 gallons of water thru the filter before the smell and taste are "normal"....I never had this issues with other filters before. So after 5 gallons, still not good, I would say I ran 15+ gallons of water thru the filter...the smell and taste are near normal but not quite...after 1+ months of use, the smell is gone...but the taste are still not the same as the original filter.
